  • Congratulations to our R&D manager Sherry Xie. Viva Pharmaceutical received a US patent 7,662,406. Chewable Softgels exhibit a very soft, pleasant chewing texture and non-stickiness, as well as excellent stability. It is a new form for the people who often experience difficulty in swallowing and ingesting medicines in solid forms such as tablets, pills, and capsules, especially children and the elderly. This patented chewable softgels permit easy ingestion and whose active components are rapidly released in the oral cavity are desirable in the event of a medical emergency such as an attack of angina pectoris.

  • HALAL CERTIFICATION HAS BEEN GRANTED
    Successful Inspection by the Islamic Services of America

    HALAL CERTIFICATION This important announcement – Halal Certification by the Islamic Services of America (ISA) – is the result of diligent efforts by Viva Pharmaceutical Inc. (Viva). This is also the beginning of a much anticipated and exciting corporate journey into the manufacturing of Halal certified products. This certification process will provide products for Muslim members as well as providing future business opportunities for both domestic and export markets.

    Following the inspection on February 8, 2010, Viva’s Canadian Richmond BC facility is now compliant with Halal requirements for the manufacturing of dietary supplements and natural health categorized products. Viva is now certified to manufacture softgel capsules; in future, Viva will pursue in getting the bulk powders, tablets, hard-shell capsules and many other dosage forms registered and inspected to Halal standards.

    The ISA is a well-trusted certificating agency that is internationally recognized. They have been in operation since 1975 and are an extremely knowledgeable. Ongoing compliance assistance will be made available to Viva.

  • Viva donated $2,000 US dollars to Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Seattle to initiate and seek the supports and donation from the local communities for Taiwan Morakot Typhoon Relief. As Viva will build up a subsidiary - Viva Biopharm USA in Blaine, we would like to be the part of the communities in Washington States.

  • The Ground Breaking Ceremony for Viva Biopharm USA, a subsidiary of Viva Canada was held on July 1st, 2009 at the City of Blaine in Washington State, USA.
    Mr. Pete Kremen, Whatcom County Executive, Mrs. Bonnie Onyon, Mayor of Blaine, Mr. Gary Tomsic, City Manager of Blaine, Ms. Nancy Jordan, Executive Director of EDC and Mr. Dodd Snodgrass, Port of Bellingham as well as the team of Blaine City Hall, many local business people and medias attended the ceremony.
    Viva Biopharm USA located in Blaine, Washington will be doing R&D and manufacturing pharmaceuticals – generic drugs and OTC drugs, nutraceuticals – dietary supplements and nutritional products as well as cosmetic products aiming to sell to US and international markets. There will be over 30 million of US dollars invested to build up 3 buildings for manufacturing and R&D use. The total area of 3 buildings including the 2nd level is approximately 300,000 square feet.
    Besides manufacturing, Viva USA will focus on R&D, devoting in inventing new drugs and advanced technologies. Viva Canada already owned some patents and will manufacture the patent products in Blaine facilities.

  • Congratulations to our R&D manager Sherry Xie. Viva Pharmaceutical Inc. received a US patent with patent number 7,341,708 in March 11, 2008 issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This invention related to methods of preparing amino acid chelates and complexes, and uses thereof. The amino acids chelates produced by invention method are essentially pure, highly soluble over a wide pH range and are stable in solutions such as milk and juice for extended periods of time.
