Viva Pharmaceutical’s R & D division is focused on the development and discovery of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products. Our innovations include products for prevention and treatment of chronic diseases and conditions, including insomnia, diabetes, weakening of immune systems and cardiovascular disease. Viva conducts research on extraction, isolation and identification of therapeutically active compounds from plants and other natural sources, as well as the synthesis of chemical compounds for new drug development that have little or no side-effects.
Viva also conducts research on the analysis and development of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical product formulations based on a customer’s specific requirement. The R & D department also continues to concentrate on research designed to improve the Company’s proprietary products and to ensure that these products are of the highest quality and best serve our customers’ needs and requirements.
All members of this team are highly trained professionals with Doctorate, Post-graduate, Graduate and Diploma degrees. They have many years experience in related areas.
The Viva research and development team is charged with the important mission of developing technologies for safety, quality and efficacy. The group is responsible for:
- extraction processes and characterization of bioactive ingredients;
- clinical and toxicology studies including bioassays available to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of new products;
- development of new products which maximize bioactive ingredients’ integrity and bioavailability;
- efficient and low-cost extraction/manufacturing/production processes;
- innovative differentiation technologies;
- pilot scale production lines of products;
- automation (production, processing and packing)
