Quality Control

The employment of laboratory assessments of quality in order to provide evidence backed decisions regarding the product’s safety and efficacy.

The Quality Control Department is involved with testing methodologies and functions for the assessment of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process aids, and for determining the compliance of finished products to specification – especially in terms of affirming ingredient identification and the safety profile of the finished products.  Operationally, this involves routine chemical, physical, and microbiological testing.

The Quality Control Department at Viva is staffed with scientists and other professionals that work to ensure the safety and reliability of all raw materials, packaging supplies, in-process samples, and finished products.  Three distinct laboratories are in operation – chemical, microbiological, and heavy metals.  All of the laboratories have been equipped with advanced instrumentation designed for completing the required testing:
